Established in early 2005 by Chris Maguire, INTERMODAL has established itself as a reputable, experienced, and independent freight Company.

In the early ‘70’s, Chris discovered the excitement of and revolution in the NZ shipping industry. From the end of the Conventional Vessels of Blue Star Port Lines, into containerisation with Blueport ACT (NZ) Ltd, a life-long passion was forged.

Senior roles within the NZ European Shipping Association and the NZ & UK Ship Owners Committee followed, before a period with the NZ Apple & Pear Marketing Board.

After moving into Freight Forwarding in the mid 90’s, Chris identified a clear need in the market for independent, highly skilled, and empathetic people to work with New Zealand Companies.

INTERMODAL International Freight is the result.
